Culver’s Entry Level Housing Committee met again last night. It is apparent that everyone isn’t on board yet. I’m a bit frustrated that we’re treading over ground previously covered. The group decided not to make any commitments to the developer that is interested and further decided to try again to open discussions with property owners that have not participated to date. With the deadline fast approaching for a grant application, I don’t see this happening this year. It’s unfortunate, but there are diminishing returns when you try and push a rope. I guess I will just tie a knot in the end and hold on…
Becky now has a phone number at her new office: (574) 935-HEAR(4327) She has started taking appointments. She’s working on a mailer to send out.
Phones were set up, but not without hassle. Less so than what I went through with NIPSCO though! What I thought should have been a single call to transfer service became a multi day debacle. For your amusement, I’ll share my frustration below. To the right I’ve included a picture of the workroom cabinets and countertop we installed last night.
Above is the backside of a postcard handout that the Culver Visitors Center is sharing. You can also find more details about upcoming events in on their events page at www.cometoculver.org.
Not the greatest picture, but this is a mock-up of the revised Berger Audiology sign at the new Pine Creek Center location. It’s at 2930 Miller Drive, the former location of Help at Home next to Edward Jones. We’re looking into an awning for the front. That should dress it up a little.
Becky is pushing to get open. She’s hoping that can be next week. Some equipment was installed on Friday and networking is supposed to be completed tomorrow.
