Country Auto Center Facade Renovation

Facade painted 4-2-14What a difference a week makes.  Last week the EFIS crew was finishing up with the base material.  (See Below)  This week we have the finish coat in place.  Is that Blue or is that BLUE!  Ha!  Time to install the Chevy sign!

This is part of an addition and remodel project at Country Auto Center in Plymouth.  We worked with the owner, Joe Martin, Jr.,  to work out a scenario that included adding the new “ChevyArch” entrance to the Chevy showroom, a new “Chrysler Arch” over the existing entrance to the Chrysler showroom, and added a new “birthing bay” between the new showrooms to provide separation.  We still have some work to finalize, but despite the lousy weather over this winter and spring, we’re in the home stretch.

This is one of the last couple of projects I collaborated on with Mary Ellen Rudisel Jordan.  As was often the case with design build projects we worked on, I had a concept roughed out and she provided the architectural detail that made it pop.  It is one more in a legacy she left with Easterday Construction.
