Pioneer Auto Sales & Leasing – Plymouth, Indiana
Easterday Construction Co., Inc. completed construction of a new facility in Plymouth for Pioneer Auto Sales. This project was completed using a Butler Building Company (BMC) Pre-engineered Metal Building with an MR-24 standing seam roof. Prior to the construction of their new facility, they had been working out of a portable office trailer. This left them without ADA compliance and did not give them the image they wanted.
We hired Scearce Rudisel Architects in Warsaw to help us prepare a design/build proposal for Pioneer. We worked with the Owner to find the layout and style they wanted and then used SRA to refine the details. They helped up with lighting, code review and prepared plans for the required State Plan Release.
While small, the project provided challenges as the facility had to kept in operation during construction. We had to coordinate our work on a tight site, around their vehicle displays and while maintaining the existing office facility. Since the site had a sizable cross slope, the grading for the new building while working in an existing parking lot was a feat unto itself.
We used BMC Stylwall to dress up the building facade and created a custom edge trim around the entrance roof. Added a black glass pattern above the door to further enhance the entrance. The Owner has been please with the facility and it has served them well. They are still running a successful business in that location.
