Dear Kevin, Kathy—-and all the wonderful workpersons we’ve had help us with our 80-plus year old Culver lake house maintenance/building problems these last 22 years.

As you know, it broke my heart to recently sell our Culver lake house on the West Shore,  but Geo’s poor health got the best of us.  Very depressing for us both, especially since we envisioned ourselves living out Geo’s retirement years in that Culver house—but I’m just grateful that I still have him with me for the continued loving companionship we’ve shared for over 53 years.

But that’s the way it goes sometimes, right?  Right.

So I just wanted to send you a quick word of thanks for all the work you’ve done for us over the years—–new kitchen, new storm doors, new upstairs bathroom/shower, downstairs shower update, and a jillion other jobs too numerous to mention in this space.   You never failed to act quickly, the workers were always accommodating and kind,  Kathy (on the phone) was always pleasant and quick with whatever response I needed at the time—–(always an “emergency”, right again Kathy?) and, in general, it didn’t take us long to figure out that Easterday Construction was being run by some very nice people.

In the beginning, we got “estimates” from other local builders/repair folks—-but it didn’t take us long to figure out that Easterday gave us better workmanship and service AND gave us more bang for our bucks, as the old saying goes, hands down, than anyone else in the area.

Dr. Compton and I thank you for that.  Many times over.  And we want you all to know how much “simple kindnesses” are appreciated——and we should know, first hand, having also lived in the busy, “maybe we’ll call you back; maybe we won’t” Chicago area for our entire married life.  You were like a breath of fresh air to us.

You were never too busy to talk to us, stop in to check out what our “problem” was—–and follow through on whatever you promised you would do for us. And on time.  It doesn’t get better than that.

Hope you and your employees know how much we’ve appreciated doing business with you all these years.  Priceless.

Sincerely,

                                Jan Compton (Mrs. George)
